MET Malaysia Released Significant Weather Forecast Effective Starting 17 December

Today, the Malaysian Metrological Department (MET) released a significant weather forecast effective starting this 17 December.

In their statement, these are some of the important points about the significant weather forecast:

According to the weather model analysis, the monsoon flow is expected to hit the country starting on 17 December. This causes continuous rain in the east coast states of Malaysia from around 17 to 21 December.

MET Malaysia is still observing the weather condition. Moreover, they will issue a heavy rain warning if it’s necessary.

In the next few days, thunderstorms, heavy rain and a gale will continue to happen on the west coast, west of Sabah and north of Sarawak from evening to night.

Additionally, MET Malaysia released a Gale and Rough Sea Waves (First Category) Warning for Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang waters. This warning is effective starting 15 December.

The water level will continue to increase and is at risk of exceeding the safe level.

Therefore, everyone should constantly visit MET’s website, www.met.gov.my and other social media platforms. Furthermore, download the myCuaca application to get the latest and verified weather forecast at the tip of your finger.

Since the rainy season is hitting our country, everyone should take safety precautions, as many states are affected by severe floods.
