Yaya From ‘Boboiboy’ Becomes A Tourism Icon In Japan!

An animation studio, Monsta, has been releasing hits such as Boboiboy, Papa Pipi, Mechamato and Fly With Yaya.

Monsta has become the most sort-out animation house, proving that our product can be as good as animation produced in other countries— maybe even better.

As the Mechamato heatwave is yet to subside, many kids are voicing to learn silat, one of the oldest martial art practices, after watching Mechamato the Movie. The impact is downright sublime as the movie gives such a positive impact on the kids and everyone that watched the movie.

Since Monsta strives to introduce the beauty of Malaysia in its animation, it’s no wonder that other countries could see and appreciate the effort they put into their craft.

There is another applaudable achievement for them. One of the characters from Boboiboy, Yaya, now becomes a tourism icon in Japan!

What is Fly With Yaya?

Monsta released a series Fly With Yaya, in 2019. It is a CGI travel show that uses CGI and live footage. Not only that, but Fly With Yaya was nominated for the Licensing International Excellence Award in 2020. Wow! Amazing!

The second season flies her to Tohoku!

In season one, Yaya was invited by the Tohoku Inbound Association and Yamagata Broadcasting Company to promote halal and Muslim-friendly tourism in the state of Tohoku.

Moreover, Tohoku is different from Tokyo as it is a more remote and peaceful state. We can’t do many city activities in Tohoku, like shopping in big malls and walking on long, busy crossroads. Why? Tohoku is more countryside-friendly and has a breathtaking view of the mountains and lakes. We can imagine how different the activities are, but it will definitely be as exciting!

Excitingly, in season two, she has a new friend, Tomoko-chan, to hop on the thrill ride to Tohoku!

Fly With Yaya ‘Omotenashi’ is available on MONSTA Youtube. You can watch it here.

Hence, let Yaya and Tomoko-chan bring you on an unforgettable journey around Tohoku!
