Cik Ani, Chef Wan’s Mother, Passed Away Early This Morning

Since early January, Chef Wan has kept us in touch with his mother, Cik Ani’s condition at the hospital. Through his Instagram, the celebrity chef updates us that his dear mother, Noraini Abdullah passed away early this morning. نَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ.

Chef Wan’s mother has been admitted to Gleneagles Hospital due to cancer. She also suffered from dementia.

At 6:20 a.m., the late Cik Ani peacefully passed away in her sleep. May Allah count all of her good deeds as a Muslim and be forgiven for all of her mistakes. May Allah bless her soul and place her among the believers.

According to Chef Wan, his mother will be ready for burial at Masjid Putra at Dataran Putrajaya. In the afternoon after Dzur time, she will lay to rest at a Muslim cemetery at Cyberjaya. 

Added by Chef Wan in his post, her mother’s body left the hospital around 10:30 a.m. and was taken to the Putrajaya Mosque.

Aside known for his skill in cooking, Chef Wan is known for his close relationship with the late Cik Ani. He has been taking care of his mother all the time. 

May Chef Wan and his family be given the strength to go through this hard time. Al-Fatihah.
