How can Celine Dion not be in the ‘200 Greatest Singers of All Time’ list published by the music magazine Rolling Stone? We have recently wrapped up the eventful 2022. Some fans are starting 2023 with anger as the My Heart Will Go On singer is nowhere to be found on the list.
Many fans think it doesn’t make sense. How can they put off a talented singer like Dion on such list?

Rolling Stone wrote in their article, “Before you start scrolling (and commenting), keep in mind that this is the Greatest Singers list, not the Greatest Voices List,” adding oil to the blazing fire.
The controversial statement infuriates even more people. Fans believe Dion has everything, and not putting her on the list is ‘a crime against humanity’.
According to the music magazine, the list was compiled from their staff and key contributors. It also encompassed 100 years of pop music, making this list previewed by their pop music writ. There aren’t genres like opera in the list as the magazine focused more on the pop genre.
Additionally, Rolling Stone explained, “what mattered most to us was originality, influence, the depth of an artist’s catalogue, and the breadth of their musical legacy.”
With all these qualifications explained by the magazine, it still doesn’t make sense why Céline Dion isn’t on the list when she has it all!
Fans collectively agree Dion doesn’t need the list to validify her talents
Many fans of Dion believe the singer doesn’t need to be on the list after all. As they see it as ‘crack’, it’s good she’s not in it.
Fans around the world posted many videos of Dion showing her ability and talent as a singer claiming she’s still one of the greatest vocalists of the generation.
The ‘vocal trinity’ queen deserves better than this. But we won’t let a list discredit her infinite talent and profound passion for her crafts. She’ll always be the moment.
