We can’t deny that many Malaysian actors these days are known for their handsome and beautiful features. Perhaps it’s to cater for the young audience; many of them are a definite ‘eye candy’. Therefore, many speculations arise when a new actor comes onscreen. Despite their looks, will their acting skill be as good?
However, this isn’t a generalised statement. Although many young actors these days are more famous for their looks, some thrive because of both! Don’t judge a book by its cover— a huge chunk of Malaysian actors got the talent and beauty!
Speaking of new actors, some of you might be familiar with the name Anna Jobling and Meerqeen. If not, have you ever come across a drama that aired last year called Melur Untuk Firdaus? If you do, then you must know these are the actors behind the beloved Melur and Firdaus!
Both actors entered the 100 Most Beautiful and Handsome faces of 2022!
It’s an achievement many should be proud of as TC Candler rolled out the annual ‘The 100 Most Beautiful and Handsome Faces’ at the end of the year.
And last year’s list spiked a new accomplishment for actors Anna and Meerqeen as they are the only Malaysians to enter the list!
Anna ranked 84th place, surpassing the famous singer-songwriter Ariana Grande at 85th.
Whilst, Meerqeen is comfortable in the 55th spot topping BTS’ eldest member, Jin at 57th place.
For your information, TC Candler has hosted the Annual Independent Critics List since 1990. The list isn’t a popularity contest, but to include many cultures, lifestyles, professions and degrees of fame into account. They didn’t limit their search locally but have extended them globally. Therefore, this year’s list is more diverse and transcends many countries.
Congrats to both actors for being on the list of many beautiful and handsome faces around the world!
