“Malaysians Should Give A Chance…,” – Khairy Jamaluddin

There are many changes the new government is implementing in the country. We can see the gradual growth and modifications in many aspects: economy, transportation, health and communication. However, even after the 15th General Election ended last November, some Malaysians are anxious and wary of the new ruling led by Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Malaysia has suffered plenty of losses during the COVID-19 era. With countless lockdowns preventing many workers from earning money, of course, they don’t want this to happen again. During those hard times, many disheartening cases like suicide, divorce and domestic violence arose. Therefore, will Malaysia get to achieve political and economical stability governed by the new ruling party? Or will we only see glimpses of it?

Khairy Jamaluddin hopes the new government can give political stability to the country

Taking this topic into a different turn, Malaysia soared to a victorious win against Singapore last Tuesday with four glorious goals. Many fans physically supported the Harimau Malaya team at the Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.

Some football fans spotted the former Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin or known as KJ, among thousands of spectators.

Shaul Hameed (@firelong25) managed to exclusively interview the former minister while waiting for the game to begin.

Shaul asked, “What’s your opinion on the current political agenda ruled by the new government?”

KJ answered, “I think [Malaysia] needs political stability. For now, we should give the new government a chance to carry their duties responsibly.”

The minister added that the frequent changes of the governing parties in Malaysia aren’t as efficient as anyone thought they would be. Also, it isn’t confirmed that changing government so often is good for the long run.

Therefore, KJ believed the new government needs to stabilise the political concerns our country has been facing for many years.

Then, Shaul questioned KJ’s future plans, to which the minister said, “Wait and see.”

Many Malaysians respect the professional manner KJ has while answering the question by Shaul.

It’s still too early to judge the current government’s way of governing the country. Thus, we should make way for them to carry out their responsibilities in hopes of a better Malaysia.
