Pacific Trustees Berhad, the trustee of AmanahRaya Real Estate Investment Trust (AmanahRaya REIT), had accepted an offer to enter into a long-term tenancy of a 15-year with IHT Rehabilitation Centre (Selangor) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Integra Healthcare Technology Sdn. Bhd. (INTEGRA) for a property in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, Selangor (subject property), which would function as a new rehabilitation centre for the latter. The subject property has 74,104 square feet will be rented based on as is as basis.
YM Tunku Rozita, the Managing Director of AmanahRaya-Kenedix Reit Managers Sdn. Bhd. (AKRM) in her welcoming remarks said that ‘AmanahRaya REIT will always be committed to increasing our asset portfolio’s occupancy rates by focusing on retaining key tenants and attracting new ones. Today’s signing demonstrates our commitment to continuing our occupancy growth trajectory in the future years. We are pleased to be a strong enabler for INTEGRA’s continued growth path, as well as to contribute to a well-managed, conducive environment.’
‘Onboarding this long-term and high-profile new tenant is on the cusp of our turning around. We have thus far witnessed a strong flow of enquiries from numerous other domestic- and foreign-based corporations who have expressed keen interest in taking up space in our properties,’ she added.
INTEGRA has been set up to develop, own and/or manage rehabilitation and healthcare centers, rejuvenation therapy, premium aged care services, respite care, wellness and other related healthcare services. They have developed partnerships with Technology and Healthcare Solution providers as well as extending their expertise and support to patients.
YM Tunku Rozita emphasized that the addition of INTEGRA to AmanahRaya REIT’s portfolio was the first under AKRM’s new management which came onboard this year. She highlighted that AmanahRaya REIT is steadfast on embracing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles to guide its asset management and acquisition strategies.
Overall, AKRM manages a total of 12 properties nationwide, including educational assets of SEGi University Kota Damansara, SEGi College Subang Jaya and HELP University campuses, all of which are fully tenanted. AKRM’s other assets are in the office, industrial, retail and hospitality sectors.
