Building on last year’s countdown, which had 13,000 attendees, aka LAVAs, dancing to the electrifying beats of headliner KSHMR amidst a breathtaking seven-minute fireworks display, co-organisers Hitman Solutions and Happymoon are pulling out all the stops to create an even more exhilarating sonic journey for Malaysians celebrating the new year.
Pinkfish Music & Arts Festival 2024 announced Armin Van Buuren as its headliner by lighting up the TSLAW Tower in Kuala Lumpur, generating buzz for his return after seven years. For its upcoming countdown event, Pinkfish raised the stakes with a unique twist, sending 1,000 mystery packages to their most loyal LAVAs and giving them an exclusive first glimpse at who will be taking over Surf Beach at Sunway Lagoon to ring in 2025.
Pinkfish Countdown 2024 will feature five headliners, each bringing their unique sound to the stage as they spin their sets until midnight. Get ready for a musical expedition that spans several genres—from Hardstyle to Techno, Big Room, Trance, and more—culminating in a night showcasing EDM’s most defining sounds. The headliners set to usher in the new year are Sara Landry, Blasterjaxx, Showtek, Cosmic Gate, and Nifra, each a prominent force in their respective sub-genres.
Representing the local scene, the lineup includes Pinkfish familiars and fan favourites, such as Mr Yang and Nahsyk, alongside new faces Hades and ZeroFloat, ensuring a vibrant mix of talent throughout the night.
