Klook And Sunway Theme Parks Team Up To Make Bigger Splashing Fun Times

As Malaysia continues to attract record-breaking tourist arrivals, Klook, a leading platform for experiences and travel services in Asia, is expanding its collaboration with Sunway Theme Parks to enhance theme park experience in 2025. Through an exclusive partnership formalised today, visitors to Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Lost World Of Tambun will enjoy seamless digital access and exclusive deals, further elevating Malaysia’s position as a top family-friendly destination.

The MoU was signed by Sarah Wan, General Manager for Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia of Klook and Calvin Ho, Executive Director of Sunway Theme Parks. The expanded collaboration marks a joint marketing investment between Klook and Sunway Group to attract more inbound visitors to Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Lost World Of Tambun.

“At Klook, we are passionate about revolutionising how people experience travel. By integrating seamless digital access, exclusive perks, and attraction discovery, we ensure that visiting families and thrill-seekers in Klang Valley can enjoy world-class attractions without the hassle,” said Sarah Wan, General Manager for Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia of Klook.

Through this partnership, Klook will officially become the Exclusive Online Travel Agency (OTA) Partner for API Connectivity in 2025, ensuring visitors a more seamless and convenient experience. Key benefits include:

  • Frictionless Entry & Dedicated Access: Klook users can now skip long queues with direct mobile barcode access at dedicated Klook lanes.
  • Exclusive Stay & Play Packages: To celebrate Sunway’s 51st anniversary, visitors can enjoy limited-time 51% off hotel bundle deals when booking through Klook, available until March 9. These special packages combine theme park entry with premier Sunway hotel stays, making planning an unforgettable getaway easier for families and tourists.
  • Strategic Joint Marketing Investment: Klook and Sunway Theme Parks will co-invest in marketing efforts targeting regional and international tourists to drive visitor growth.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with Klook, bringing unparalleled theme park experiences and exclusive offers to our visitors. This collaboration underscores our commitment to enhancing guest experiences and making Sunway Theme Parks the top choice for family entertainment in Malaysia,” said Calvin Ho, Executive Director of Sunway Theme Parks.

Malaysia Travel Trends & Family Experiences

Malaysia has officially surpassed Thailand as the most-visited country in ASEAN, recording an impressive 38 million foreign tourist arrivals in 2024. The Klook Travel Pulse 2024 survey reveals that travellers are increasingly drawn to outdoor adventures (59%) and theme park experiences (53%), making it essential for attractions to offer seamless digital access and value-added experiences.

Through this partnership, Klook and Sunway Theme Parks are directly responding to these trends, ensuring that travellers can enjoy effortless digital bookings, queue-free entry, and tailored promotional deals to maximise their time at Malaysia’s premier attractions.
