FuelCell Rebel v5 Is Here, New Balance’s Boldest Running Shoe Yet

New Balance is back with a bang and this time, it’s all about speed, style, and that extra bounce in your step. Say hello to the FuelCell Rebel v5, the latest drop from the FuelCell line, and trust us, runners are gonna want in on this one.

Set to launch in a limited-edition colourway on June 5, this sleek new silhouette will be available on newbalance.com.my and in-store at New Balance Pavilion KL and IOI City Mall. Not near those spots? No worries the main colourway drops July 1 and will be available online and at all New Balance stores nationwide (except factory outlets, though).

Now, let’s talk specs because this shoe isn’t just a pretty face. The FuelCell Rebel v5 is powered by a PEBA blended midsole, giving you major energy return and responsiveness with every step. Whether you’re chasing a new PB or just getting your daily mileage in, this one’s got your back (and feet).

Lightweight? Yup. It clocks in at just 7.9oz for men (size 9.5D) and 6.3oz for women (size 7B). With a 6mm drop and a stack height of 35mm/29mm, it strikes that perfect balance between cushioning and ground feel. And the upper? Super breathable, so your feet stay cool even when your pace heats up.

Design-wise, the Rebel v5 doesn’t play it safe. It’s bold, confident, and made to stand out perfect for runners who don’t just run the race, but own it.

Want to be first on the track (or the street) with the new FuelCell Rebel v5? Set your reminders, lace up, and be ready to move.
