Lambretta Revs Up Malaysian Streets With New X300GT, G350 Series II & Electrifying Elettra Debut

The roar of Italian engines (and the quiet hum of electrons) filled the Malaysia Autoshow today as Lambretta Malaysia pulled the covers off its all-new X300GT and G350 Series II scooters, while teasing next year’s electric revolution with the Elettra and J200 ‘Starwave’.

For riders who demand equal parts head-turning style and cutting-edge performance, Lambretta’s latest lineup delivers proving this 77-year-old legend isn’t just keeping up with the times, but defining them.

X300 GT: Where Grand Touring Meets Mod Culture

The star of today’s launch, the X300 GT, is a love letter to Lambretta’s heritage, reimagined for modern adventures. Its steel side covers feature a retro checkerboard motif, while the hexagonal LED headlights (with embedded Lambretta logo) wink at the brand’s 1960s heyday.

But this isn’t just a pretty face:

  • 275cc LSP engine with advanced fuel injection
  • 7-level adjustable Double Arm-Link suspension
  • Smartphone-linked TFT display with customisable themes
  • IFS lighting system (brake/turn/emergency lights in one sleek unit)

“The X300 GT isn’t just transportation – it’s a statement,” says Lambretta Malaysia’s product lead. “That luggage rack isn’t merely functional; it’s an invitation to ride further.”

G350 Series II: Classic Lines, Tomorrow’s Tech

The updated G350 Series II sharpens Lambretta’s signature blend of old-school cool and new-school smarts:

  • Dual-channel ABS brakes for safer stops
  • USB charger hidden in the glovebox
  • 7-bar crystal tail lights that make night rides a lightshow

Available in three two-tone colourways (including the showstopping Bianco-Rosso), it’s proof that evolution doesn’t require abandoning DNA.

The Electric Future: Elettra & Starwave Preview

While petrolheads fawned over today’s launches, Lambretta’s real surprise was Elettra, its first full-electric model slated for 2026. With futuristic handlebar-integrated instrumentation and a silhouette that nods to vintage Vespa rivals, it promises zero emissions without sacrificing soul.

Meanwhile, the J200 ‘Starwave’ – a modern reboot of Lambretta’s 1960s J-series – wowed crowds with mod-friendly customization:

  • Interchangeable front stripes
  • Transformable mudguards (that become shoulder bags)

Pricing & Availability

The X300 GT (RM26,800) and G350 Series II (RM29,800) are available now at Lambretta Malaysia dealers. As for the Elettra? Riders will need to wait but judging by today’s reaction, it’ll be the hottest ticket in urban mobility next year.
