Pavilion REIT proudly announced the return of its signature Pavilion Loves Sustainability campaign, which runs until 13 July 2025 at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. This year’s campaign placed a strengthened focus on youth empowerment and community wellness through a strategic new partnership with the Nicol David Organisation.
As part of Pavilion REIT’s comprehensive ESG strategy, the campaign transformed the mall’s Centre Court into an interactive hub for sustainability living education and community engagement. It featured four interactive zones at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s Spanish Steps designed to inspire sustainable living among the mall’s visitors.
Puan Nor Rejina, Board of Director (Sustainability Committee Chairperson) of Pavilion REIT, said that this campaign represented the group’s unwavering commitment to creating meaningful environmental and social impact among the community.
“Each year, Pavilion Loves Sustainability grows stronger, powered by our shared commitment to ESG principles. This year, our focus turns to the Health pillar, recognising that true sustainability is not only about caring for our environment but also for the well-being of our people. It’s about supporting the community around us to ensure that no one is left behind in our quest to be a truly sustainable business,” said Puan Nor Rejina.
Visitors can explore and learn more about Pavilion REIT’s ESG agenda through a curated series of informative panels housed within one central space, all aligned with the UN SDG goals. Key interactive features of the area includes the Fertiliser Panel, which demonstrates how food waste can be converted into fertiliser, with complimentary Pavilion Fertiliser packs available for participants. The Weaving Wall showcases Pavilion REIT’s community initiatives through hands-on weaving activities using upcycled fabric scraps from local fashion brand Variante. Visitors can also explore the ReBag Station, which promotes reusable alternatives to reduce plastic waste.
Beyond the interactive zones, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s Centre Court hosts various workshops and activities from ESG-focused tenants and partners throughout the campaign period. Kiehl’s, one of the campaign’s biggest partners, occupies half of the Centre Court, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability through its global Kiehl’s Mission Renewal initiative. In collaboration with the L’Oreal Group, Kiehl’s brought its long-standing dedication to circularity to the heart of Pavilion Loves Sustainability 2025. The initiative championed three key pillars, namely Replenish Natural Resources, Designing Out Waste and Empowering Community Action. Visitors can experience Kiehl’s immersive consumer journey, including free skin checks and recycling pledges that blend beauty with sustainability.
Jo’s Cha made its Klang Valley debut, serving fresh ingredient beverages with sustainable practices alongside limited-edition merchandise. Royal Selangor celebrated its 140th anniversary of environmental responsibility with its popular “Hard Knock” pewter crafting experience, allowing visitors to engage in hands-on heritage craftsmanship. Additionally, National Geographic and Persatuan Seni Jahitan Kreatif Malaysia (PSJKM) offered various sustainability-focused creative workshops, while Florism De Art invited visitors to join daily succulent workshops using Pavilion Fertiliser in alignment with sustainable gardening practices.
In support of WWF’s Tiger Month observance, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is hosting the Save the Malayan Tiger initiative at Level 3, Connection until 13 July 2025. The programme features interactive games, awareness challenges and art activities to promote tiger conservation and habitat protection.
A significant highlight of this year’s campaign was Pavilion REIT’s new partnership with the Nicol David Organisation, which aligned with the group’s Good Health and Well-being pillar. Founded by former national squash champion Datuk Nicol David, the Nicol David Organisation specialises in building confidence, resilience and healthy habits among underprivileged Malaysian youth through structured programmes. This unique collaboration focused on nurturing physical and mental health among Malaysian youth through sports, education and wellness initiatives.
“Our collaboration with the Nicol David Organisation underscores this commitment, empowering underprivileged children with life skills, confidence and resilience – values that align with the spirit of sustainability. Through this partnership, we are creating a sustainable future for all by nurturing the next generation,” said Puan Nor Rejina.
Datuk Nicol David shared, “Sport is far more than just competition – it is a catalyst for change, a powerful tool for building communities, inspiring individuals and creating lasting positive impact. This belief is at the heart of why I am so proud to announce my partnership with Pavilion Group. Together, we are creating a significant impact through our shared commitment to ESG goals, and a stepping stone towards a healthier, happier Malaysia.”
