Prime Video Drops First Look at Thai Horror Host, A Chilling Reimagining of Mae Sue

Prime Video has just unveiled first-look images of Host, its brand-new Thai Amazon Original film, and it’s about to get under your skin.

This supernatural horror reimagines Thailand’s legendary “Mae Sue,” the guardian spirit of newborns, for the first time on the big screen. Directed by Pokpong-Pairach Khumwan (Girl from Nowhere, Siam Square), the film stars Baipor-Thitiya Jirapornsilp (Love Stuck, Not Friends), Perth-Veerinsara Tungkitsuvanich (Attack 13), and Jump-Pisitpol Ekaphongpisit (The Cliche).

The story follows Ing, a young woman sent to a reform school on a remote island, where hierarchy rules and obedience is everything. But when eerie incidents begin to unfold, Ing faces a chilling truth: is she the hunted… or the haunting?

“Thailand has a proud legacy of horror and thrillers that resonate globally,” said Darin Darakananda, Head of Central Scripted Series & Movies, Amazon MGM Studios.

“Host is exactly the kind of distinctive, high-quality storytelling we’re proud to share worldwide.”

Produced by Transformation Films, Host will stream exclusively on Prime Video later this year in over 240 countries.
