From Makeovers to Movement, The Makeover Guys Celebrate 10 Years of ‘Making Better’

What started as a home renovation dream has evolved into a full-blown design movement.

This year, The Makeover Guys (TMOG) mark their 10th anniversary with a bold new campaign  “Making Better”, celebrating a decade of transforming how Malaysians live, and now, how they work.

Since 2015, TMOG has redefined what it means to call a space “home.” From helping homeowners and landlords transform empty properties into beautifully functional living spaces to supporting investors in boosting property value, TMOG has made stylish, smart living accessible for everyone.

Now, they’re taking it one step further.

Designing the Next Chapter

To celebrate this milestone, TMOG is expanding beyond homes into commercial design, applying the same creativity and purpose to businesses, offices, and retail spaces.
The highlight? The all-new Bespoke Edition, a tailor-made service that turns individual visions into one-of-a-kind realities.

It’s not your typical design package, it’s a conversation between imagination and execution.

Whether it’s a dream home, a flagship store, or a property investment, Bespoke Edition ensures every corner tells a story:

  • For homeowners: A space that mirrors your personality and lifestyle.

  • For businesses: A design that captures your brand’s soul and energy.

  • For investors: Smart, high-value transformations, like one of TMOG’s latest premium projects that boosted monthly rental from RM10,000 to RM18,000.

The Meaning Behind “Making Better”

‘Making Better’ isn’t just a slogan, it’s our foundation,” said Gavin Liew, CEO and Founder of The Makeover Guys.
“We started by making renovation better. Now, we’re redefining what better truly means whether that’s a home that feels alive, or a workspace that sparks creativity.”

The celebration doesn’t stop there. TMOG’s newly revamped headquarters has been longlisted for the Dezeen Awards 2025 under Workplace Interior (Small) — one of the most prestigious design recognitions in the world. Selected from over 4,300 entries across 89 countries, this nod cements TMOG’s place among global design innovators.

A Decade In, Still Just Getting Started

Ten years later, The Makeover Guys remain committed to their mission, to make great design achievable for all Malaysians, without the headache of traditional renovation.

Because at the end of the day, design isn’t just about spaces, it’s about how those spaces make you feel, live, and grow.
