Maxim E-hailing Shares Free Car Seats for Best Drivers, Pioneering Child Passenger Safety in Kuala Terengganu

Maxim E-hailing Shares Free Car Seats for Best Drivers, Pioneering Child Passenger Safety in Kuala Terengganu

In a landmark move for family travel and road safety, Maxim E-hailing Malaysia today launched the  initiative, providing free child car seats to its top partner-drivers in Kuala Terengganu. This proactive program directly support family transportation, ensuring the youngest passengers are as secure as they are comfortable.

The initiative transforms ordinary e-hailing rides into safer journeys for families. A select group of Maxim’s most active and highly-rated partner-drivers received the child car seats, ensuring the equipment is in the hands of dedicated professionals who frequently serve passengers with children.

“Every parent’s top priority is the safety of their child. Yet, when hailing a ride, ensuring a proper car seat has been a significant challenge,” said Ammar Amsyar, Head of Maxim Kuala Terengganu. “We asked ourselves: why should safety be a luxury? Our initiative ends that uncertainty. Now, families in Kuala Terengganu can book a Maxim ride with confidence, knowing their little ones will be protected in a vehicle equipped with a proper child restraint system.”

This effort goes beyond social corporate responsibility; it’s a core part of Maxim’s mission to support safety in the Malaysian e-hailing industry. The company aims to foster a culture of safety awareness that benefits everyone on the road.

For partner-drivers, the initiative is both a practical tool and a mark of appreciation. Tuan Ahmad Zulkarnain, one of the first drivers to receive the child seat, shared his experience: “I used to worry when picking up a family with a toddler on their lap. Now, I can offer a truly safe and professional service. The relief and gratitude on parents’ faces say it all. This isn’t just a seat; it’s a statement that Maxim values our role as safety providers on the road.”

Maxim’s initiative is a direct private-sector response to the government’s advocacy for the mandatory use of Child Restraint Systems (CRS). By taking this step, Maxim is not only complying with the spirit of the law but actively championing it, educating both drivers and the public on its importance.
