SHANTEA Dessert Opens First Outlet at Mid Valley, Serving Malaysian Culture Through Sweet Creations Ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026

Malaysian flavors stepped into the spotlight today as SHANTEA Dessert officially opened its first outlet at Mid Valley Megamall, offering a modern twist on local heritage ingredients through desserts and drinks that celebrate culture and wellness.

The launch comes at a timely moment, aligning with the nation’s preparations for Visit Malaysia 2026, where culinary tourism is expected to play a key role in attracting international visitors. By transforming local flavors into contemporary creations, SHANTEA Dessert introduces Malaysian culture to global audiences, many experiencing it for the first time through food.

“Malaysia’s culinary heritage is one of our greatest treasures, and initiatives like SHANTEA Dessert help showcase it to the world in new and exciting ways,” said Teresa Kok, Member of Parliament for Seputeh, who officiated the event.

The Mid Valley outlet marks the brand’s first of three planned stores, with nationwide expansion and regional growth on the horizon.

Grand Opening Treats

To celebrate the opening, the first 100 customers on 2, 3, and 4 October will receive a complimentary Bird’s Nest Drink, one of SHANTEA Dessert’s signature items.
