AGIBOT Lands in Malaysia, Launches AI & Robotics Experience Centre at i-City

AGIBOT, a global leader in humanoid and embodied intelligence robots, officially made its Malaysian debut today with a launch event at i-City, Selangor. The event gathered government officials, partners, customers, media, and AGIBOT’s senior leadership, marking the start of a series of strategic initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region in 2026.

Founded in 2023 with a vision to build robots for the AGI era, AGIBOT focuses on robots that learn, adapt, and evolve in the real world, not just single-purpose machines. Last year, the company shipped its 5,168th humanoid, secured #1 global ranking in humanoid robot shipments with 39% market share, and advanced embodied AI through real-world reinforcement learning.

“Rolling out our 5,000th humanoid and achieving global leadership sets the stage for 2026,” said Deng Taihua, Founder & CEO of AGIBOT. “Today’s launch in Malaysia reflects our commitment to making embodied robotics practical and accessible in the region.”

Malaysia’s First AI & Robotics Experience Centre

The launch also unveiled the AI World Experience Centre at i-City, officiated by MOSTI Minister YB Chang Lih Kang. Developed in partnership with I-Berhad, the centre brings AGIBOT’s humanoid and embodied AI to everyday urban life, from property and hospitality to tourism, while also focusing on human wellness and longevity.

“This is just the first phase of our partnership with i-City,” said Abel Deng, President, Asia-Pacific & Middle East, AGIBOT. “Throughout 2026, we’ll expand embodied robotics across Asia-Pacific, deploying solutions across commercial scenarios and everyday life.”

I-Berhad Chairman Tan Sri Lim Kim Hong added:

“With the world’s first AI & Robotics Residential Tower as a real-world testbed, we’re bringing advanced robotics into homes while embedding health, wellness, and longevity at the core. This sets a new benchmark for human-centric living in Malaysia and beyond.”

AGIBOT Robots in Action

  • AGIBOT’s robotics portfolio spans multiple industries and applications:
  • AGIBOT A2 series: Full-sized humanoids for guided presentations and showrooms
  • AGIBOT X2 series: Compact humanoids for entertainment, research, and education
  • AGIBOT G2 series: Industrial robots for manufacturing and precise manipulation
  • AGIBOT D1 series: Quadruped robots for inspections in complex environments
  • AGIBOT C5: Autonomous commercial floor-care robots

Their robots are designed for hospitality, entertainment, industrial production, logistics, security, research, and more, bringing embodied AI to life and helping businesses upgrade operations and transform customer experiences.

With today’s launch, AGIBOT isn’t just introducing robots, it’s bringing the future of AI and human-centric automation to Malaysia, setting the stage for smarter, more connected cities across Asia-Pacific.
