The New Kia Carnival Arrives in Malaysia, Redefining Big MPV Style with Bold Looks and Smart Tech

Kia Sales Malaysia (KSM) officially dropped the new Kia Carnival today, marking its first major launch since the company went solo in Malaysia. And it’s clear: Kia isn’t just introducing a car; they’re making a statement.

A Bold Look for a Modern MPV

The new Carnival’s front end grabs attention with a wide grille, sculpted bumper, and a harmonised skid plate that screams sleek and modern.

Star Map daytime running lights and vertical headlamp clusters give the MPV a high-tech edge, while the redesigned rear with bold Star Map tail lamps and repositioned licence plate keeps it looking polished from every angle.

Comfort Meets Smart Design

Step inside, and the Carnival feels like a tech-savvy lounge on wheels. The 7-seater comes with Premium Relaxion Seats and fold-flat third-row seating for extra cargo space, while the 11-seater offers a central folding jump seat for easy access.

Ambient lighting stretches across the dashboard, doors, and crash pad, letting you set the vibe, and a massive curved panoramic display fuses dual 12.3-inch digital clusters with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen for a seamless, luxury cockpit.

Practical touches keep family life in mind: physical infotainment controls, climate buttons, and oversized cup holders make daily drives effortless.

Power and Efficiency That Keep You Moving

Under the hood, both the 7- and 11-seater Carnival variants pack Kia’s 2.2-litre Smartstream turbo-diesel engine, pushing 202 PS and 440 Nm of torque.

Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, it delivers smooth power and impressive fuel efficiency of 6.5 L/100 km (NEDC).

Safety First, Always

Kia doubles down on safety with eight airbags, including a new centre-side airbag, and a full suite of driver-assist tech:

  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2.0
  • Intelligent Speed Limit Assist
  • Highway Drive Assist 2
  • Lane Keeping & Following Assist
  • Driver Attention Warning
  • High Beam Assist
  • Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist
  • Rear Occupant Alert

Price and Availability

Locally assembled in Kulim, Kedah, the Carnival is offered in four sleek colours:

  • Meteor Gray,
  • Snowflake White Pearl
  • Astra Blue
  • Jet Black.

Prices start at RM188,888* for the 11-seater and RM248,888* for the 7-seater, with a 5-year/150,000 km warranty.
