Hock Kee Kopitiam Celebrates 810 Young Artists With Charity Art Initiative for NASOM
Creativity took centre stage as Hock Kee Kopitiam successfully concluded its nationwide colouring and drawing contest titled “Happy New Year 2026 with Hock Kee Kopitiam: The Most Joyful Wins,” bringing together 810 young participants from across Malaysia.
Held from 1 December to 31 December 2025, the contest invited children aged 4 to 12 years old to express their creativity through colouring and drawing. The initiative resulted in a vibrant collection of artworks filled with colour, imagination, and cultural inspiration.
Following a thorough judging process, 13 winners each from Groups A (4–6 years old) and B (7–9 years old), along with 14 winners from Group C (10–12 years old) were selected. The judging panel included individuals from creative, media, and community sectors such as Bella Astillah, Hock Kee Brand Ambassador, alongside representatives from Hock Kee Management, Two Creative Art & Design, NASOM, and media partners including Oriental Daily and Utusan Malaysia.
To celebrate the milestone, Hock Kee Kopitiam hosted an Awards Ceremony and Charity Artwork Sale in collaboration with The National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM). Winning artworks are now featured in an online exhibition on the official Hock Kee Kopitiam website, allowing the public to view and purchase selected pieces.
Artwork prices start from RM50, with 100% of proceeds donated to NASOM to support programmes for individuals on the autism spectrum. This initiative reflects Hock Kee Kopitiam’s commitment to turning children’s creativity into meaningful community contributions.
According to Nick Ng, CEO of Hock Kee Kopitiam, the event was more than just a competition.
“Today is not just about recognising our young winners, but celebrating the creativity and heart behind every artwork. Through this exhibition, we hope to bring these creations beyond the canvas into something truly meaningful,” he said.
Meanwhile, Julian Wong, Chairman of NASOM, expressed appreciation for the collaboration, highlighting that the initiative not only raises funds but also increases awareness about autism. He noted that every artwork reflects how children see the world with honesty, imagination, and joy.
Through this charity art initiative, Hock Kee Kopitiam demonstrates how even simple expressions, such as a child’s drawing, can create lasting impact and bring communities together.
