Avenged Sevenfold Makes Thunderous Return To Malaysia Before 12,000 Fans

American rock band Avenged Sevenfold (A7X) made a triumphant return to Malaysia last night, performing before a sold-out crowd of 12,000 fans at Unifi Arena Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil, on 26 September 2026.

Organised by Hitman Solutions, the highly anticipated concert marked Avenged Sevenfold’s first performance in Malaysia since 2015, ending an 11-year wait for Malaysian Deathbats and kicking off the band’s 2026 Asia Tour.

Long before Avenged Sevenfold took the stage, the atmosphere inside the arena was already electric as the Malaysian band, Langkasuka, opened the show. The homegrown act was selected by Avenged Sevenfold to perform as the opening act for their Kuala Lumpur concert, giving the local band the opportunity to perform before thousands of fans.

The energy inside Unifi Arena KL surged the moment Avenged Sevenfold took the stage, launching straight into “Nightmare” and sending the crowd into a roar.

Frontman M. Shadows, lead guitarist Synyster Gates, guitarist Zacky Vengeance, bassist Johnny Christ, and drummer Brooks Wackerman delivered a powerful performance combining hard-hitting riffs, soaring guitar work, and commanding stage presence that have defined the band for more than two decades.

The setlist took fans across different eras of Avenged Sevenfold’s catalogue, featuring crowd favourites including “So Far Away,” “Hail to the King,” “Bat Country” and one of the night’s most anticipated moments, “Dear God.”

Before performing the song, frontman M. Shadows shared with the audience that the band had only performed “Dear God” live on a handful of occasions, around three or four times, making its inclusion in the Kuala Lumpur set especially memorable. The song has long been one of the most eagerly awaited tracks among Malaysian fans, and its opening notes were met with an overwhelming response from the crowd.

Thousands of Deathbats sang, screamed, and moved in unison throughout the night, turning Avenged Sevenfold’s long-awaited Malaysian comeback into a celebration of the enduring connection between the band and its Malaysian fanbase.

“Bringing Avenged Sevenfold back to Malaysia after 11 years and seeing 12,000 fans fill the arena was an incredible milestone for us,” said Rohit Rampal, CEO and Founder of Hitman Group.

“The sold-out response shows the incredible demand for world-class live entertainment in Malaysia and the strength of the audience here. Nights like this reinforce our commitment to continue bringing major international acts and memorable live experiences to Malaysian fans.”

The concert was complemented by an immersive production featuring dynamic lighting, large-scale visual elements, and powerful audio production designed around the intensity and theatricality of Avenged Sevenfold’s live performance.

More than a decade after their previous Malaysian appearance, the night proved that the connection between Avenged Sevenfold and their Malaysian Deathbats remains as strong as ever.

Following the Kuala Lumpur show, Avenged Sevenfold will continue their 2026 Asia Tour across the region.

Avenged Sevenfold Live in Malaysia was organised by Hitman Solutions, with HITZ FM, MIX FM, and SINAR FM as official radio partners, and Astro Gempak as the official media partner.
