Western Shore Book House choose to ‘hire’ seven cats at their library to comfort the visitors. The library is located at Tianjin Tower in China and is claimed to be the highest library in Tianjin.
Cats of different breeds began their ‘duties’ this week to comfort patrons and lonely readers who have been staying at home because of the pandemic. It is believed that petting cats can improve a person’s emotions and decrease depression.
The library aimed to be a comforting place for lonely people to go during the pandemic.
