Raya Airways First Malaysian Freight Service To Fly Into Nanning, China

KUALA LUMPUR, June 15  — Raya Airways Sdn Bhd has become the first Malaysian freight service provider to operate in Nanning, China.

In a statement today, the company said the recent achievement was in line with its network expansion plans to increase destinations within Asia-Pacific markets.

“Raya Airways will serve Nanning four times per week with an average weekly load of 30 tonnes and a maximum capacity of up to 40 tonnes, utilising its Boeing 767-200F aircraft,” it said.

The air cargo company noted that the new freight route would carry all shipments that Raya Airways specialises in, namely cross-border e-commerce products and consumer goods, including perishable items.

Group managing director Mohamad Najib Ishak said the route expansion was timely and would support the increasing demand for cargo services, while offering an opportunity to create and provide a seamless logistics network driven by efficient service.

“We look forward to introducing more new routes in the months ahead as we increase our interconnecting network of destinations to support businesses during this pandemic,” he added.

The carrier also aims to expand its network to more destinations within Asia-Pacific, including within China and other countries later this year.

Raya Airways connects and operates scheduled air cargo services into major regional hubs such as China, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and Hong Kong, as well as East Malaysia, namely Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Labuan.
