A handwritten note left in the bedside drawer of a caravan by a 10-year-old girl for its new owners has gone viral after the inspirational message was shared on Facebook.
Recently, a family who bought a caravan discovered a heartwarming not left for them by one of its previous owners. As they were preparing to head out on their first adventure, the family from Brisbane found a piece of a handwritten letter left in one of the drawers from a 10-year-old girl named Poppy.
The letter was hidden away next to her bunk bed along with a white bracelet and was addressed to anybody who took over the caravan from her own family.
The message read:
“Hi, my name is Poppy and I am 10 years old. This used to be our caravan and we traveled half of Australia in it. This was my bed (the top bunk) and it was very good. This draw (which is where you found this letter) is where I kept all of the special things that I couldn’t leave behind when we went traveling. I hope you enjoy this caravan very much. I am in grade 5 and I am very good at art. I have a message for you; follow your dreams and if you have the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind. Enjoy this caravan.”
It was shared on Facebook by ABC Adelaide and has been shared more than 5,000 times as people loved Poppy’s positive message.
