Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, was sacked after spending big in the summer transfer market. The decision came after Chelsea suffered yet another loss to Dinamo Zagreb in the opening fixture of the Champions League.
Chelsea confirmed the sacking of Thomas Tuchel on their website. “On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, the Club would like to place on record its gratitude to Thomas and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the Club,” the website states.

Chelsea also states, ” As the new ownership group reaches 100 days since taking over the Club, and as it continues its hard work to take the club forward, the new owners believe it is the right time to make this transition.”
Chelsea owner, Toed Boehly has made some serious decisions after his takeover of the club from the previous owner, Roman Abramovich.
Since becoming the owner, Boehly has removed Marina Granovskaia as director, Bruce Buck as chairman, and technical and performance advisor Petr Cech. Thomas Tuchel is the latest to be given the boot by the owner. Toed Boehly has already made his mark in only 3 months of taking over Chelsea.
Chelsea poor start to the season, despite spending big in the summer
Chelsea’s start to the season is far from being title contenders. With the loss on Wednesday to Dinamo Zagreb, this is their 3rd loss of the season in just 7 games.
Besides the draw with Tottenham a few weeks ago, Chelsea has only 3 wins and those wins were not really convincing wins according to Chelsea standards.
After spending big in the market weeks earlier, Chelsea should be contending for the Premier League title. But, the results do not reflect that.
Chelsea is the highest-spending club in the transfer market this season, spending around £300 million (RM1.5 billion) for players such as Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly arriving at the club.
Chelsea’s new manager will have a monumental task to uphold. In his time at the club, Tuchel has won the Champions League, Super Cup, and Club World Cup. Not to mention reaching the FA cup and Carabao Cup Finals, only losing to Liverpool.
Look forward to any announcement on Chelsea’s new manager on their website or follow their Twitter.
