Secret Recipe, Malaysia’s largest homegrown lifestyle café chain, has finally unveiled its curated menu for this Ramadan and Raya season. It’s dedicated to serving customers a hearty dining experience.
Bringing Signatures to the Table
This year, Secret Recipe is proud to introduce a distinctive collaboration with Chef Sid Murshid for its limited-time Ramadan and Raya menu.
Chef Sid Murshid’s personal touch to this Middle Eastern dish, Nasi Arab, features fragrant rice cooked with a rich blend of Arabic spices.
The introduction of this dish aims to bring an unforgettable dining experience to every Secret Recipe customer this Holy month.
Speaking about the new menu, Ryan Chung, Marketing Manager at Secret Recipe, said:
“We are honoured to have Chef Sid Murshid integrate his culinary ideas into this season’s Ramadan and Raya menu. We hope this series will bring comfort and joy to the table, just like how families would gather around the table for a heartwarming meal during the fasting month.”
Chef Sid Murshid, celebrity chef and collaborator on the menu, shared:
“I thank Secret Recipe for this collaboration, allowing audiences to have a taste of my signature Nasi Arab, one of my personal favourites. Together with Secret Recipe, we hope that this menu will be the reason customers dine in with their loved ones this Ramadan and Raya.”
Middle Eastern cooks use a variety of aromatic herbs and spices in their dishes.
With Chef Sid’s expertise in culinary fusion and his understanding of local Malaysian’s taste preferences, the curated set includes:
- Chef Sid’s Nasi Arab Chicken (RM28.90/pax or RM52.50/two pax)
- Chef Sid’s Nasi Arab Lamb Shank (RM59.80/pax or RM65.80/two pax)

Cooks season the proteins with herbs and slow-cook them until they become tender and succulent.
The dish is further complemented with Salata Hara (a spicy condiment made from freshly chopped tomatoes, red and green chillies, herbs) and Raita (a yoghurt-based condiment) to elevate spice palates.
Additional portions are available as add-on options for:
- Salata Hara (RM3.50)
- Nasi Arab (RM6)
- Raita (RM7)
- Braised Chicken (RM19.90)
- Braised Lamb Shank (RM49.90)
