British Health Minister, Nadine Dorries Diagnosed With COVID-19

Health Minister and Conservative Member Nadine Dorries said she was diagnosed with coronavirus. Ms. Dorries, the first member of parliament to test positive, said she had taken all precautions she had come to know and had isolated herself at home.

She also added that she was worried about the 84-year-old mother who lived with her and started coughing on Tuesday.

The Health Department said she first showed signs on Thursday – the same day she attended a Downing Street event hosted by the Prime Minister and had been away since Friday.

Ms. Dorries, the MP for Mid Bedfordshire, said in an explanation that Public Health England had begun checking individuals she had contact with. It is including the department and her parliamentary office.

The 62-year-old, who started her profession as a medical caretaker, later tweeted that it had been “pretty rubbish but I hope I’m over the worst of it now.”

The total cases of coronavirus for the UK included 324 cases in England, 27 in Scotland, 16 in Northern Ireland and 15 in Wales.

There are 91 people in London, which is the highest infection rate while the second highest was the south-east, with 51 cases.

It was reported that the latest person to die was a man who died on Monday evening was a man with an underlying health condition who is being treated at Watford General Hospital.
