SEREMBAN, Aug 19 — A total of 2,098 Jalur Gemilang have been installed on-premises and vehicles owned by SWM Environment Sdn Bhd (SWM Environment) to further liven up the National Day celebration despite the country currently under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).
SWM Environment corporate affairs general manager Mohd Norlisam Mohd Nordin said the national flags were installed in three states where the company operates, namely Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor.
“Of the total, 436 Jalur Gemilang was installed in Negeri Sembilan, 410 in Melaka, and the remaining 1,242 in Johor.
“Although the country is being placed under the RMCO due to COVID-19, the National month celebration must be continued by complying with the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the government.
“To add to the excitement of the celebration, the employees of SWM Environment are also urged to read out the Rukun Negara pledge together and appreciate its every principle,” he said in a statement here today.
