World’s Most Expensive COVID-19 Mask, $1.5M, Covered In Diamond & Gold

Many countries in the world have been implementing the wearing of face masks to their citizens. It is one of the steps taken by these countries to prevent the spreading of coronavirus.

Our country too had enforced the citizens on the wearing of face masks. It is mandatory for everyone to wear a face mask in public areas. Anyone who caught flouting the rule will be given a fine up to RM1,000. Due to this, people are looking for cheap face masks for their daily usage.

The situation is the opposite of this man from China, who requested the priciest face mask. He was a businessman who is currently residing in the United States.

It is reported that an Israeli jewelry company is working on the requested mask. Isaac Levy, the owner of the Yvel company declined to reveal the buyer’s identity.

The most expensive mask is covered with golds and diamonds which total up to $1.5 million. About 3,600 white and black diamonds were used to decorate the 18-karat white gold mask. The buyer also requested for top-rated N99 filters to be fitted to the mask.

However, this 270-grams face mask seems impractical to wear. The weight is 100 times heavier than the typical surgical face mask.

Levy showed the most expensive mask during an interview in his factory. He said he himself would not wear the mask but thankful for the opportunity. Many companies had been struggling to survive because of coronavirus. Levy’s company also facing the same challenges. He was happy that he was able to provide jobs for his workers because of this face mask.
