Taylor Swift surprisingly has reached a big milestone in her career with her surprise eighth album that is Folklore, when she became the first artist in history to debut at the top of both the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and the Billboard 200 album chart.
On the 27th of September 2020, Billboard has reported that the Folklore album by Taylor Swift has once again achieved to become the No. 1 album in the country and this album also has replaced YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s Top. Folklore album also celebrates its seventh nonconsecutive week at No. 1. Because of this, Taylor Swift herself has successfully bypassed Whitney Houston to become the female artist with the most cumulative weeks at No. 1, throughout all of her, released albums. Taylor Swift has now spent a total of 47 weeks at the top of the chart.
According to the track record, Taylor Swift’s first No. 1 album was the 2008’s Fearless, and each subsequent LP that she has released hit No. 1 as well. Accumulative with her new running makes the total of hers is 47 weeks at No. 1 across her discography and this record beats Houston’s previous record of 46, which she had held since the year 1987. Billboard also points out that Adele is right behind at 34 weeks in total.
