Singapore’s Certis Looks For Next-of-Kin of Malaysian Man From Perak

SINGAPORE, Nov 6 — A man from Perak passed away in Singapore and his next-of-kin are being sought to inform about his passing.

This was confirmed by his employer, Certis, an integrated security services provider, to Bernama.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of one of our officers. Since his demise, we immediately called his listed emergency contact in our records. Unfortunately, we are still unable to contact his family.

“We have also reached out to the High Commission of Malaysia for assistance, and are continuing with our efforts,” said Certis in an email reply to the Malaysian news agency.

The demise of the man was put up on social media platforms, believed by his colleagues, since late last night in an effort to reach his family in Malaysia.

The appeal was also seen posted on the Malaysia-Singapore Border Crossers Facebook page which currently has about 70,000 members.

According to the Malaysia’s identity card appended in the posting, the deceased, Lim Jee Meng, 47, was from Ipoh, Perak.

His last known address was at No 11, Jalan Perajurit, Ipoh Garden East, Ipoh, Perak.

Certis, however, clarified that it did not publish the deceased’s personal details on any media or social media platforms out of respect to the officer and his loved ones.

“Our immediate priority now is to be able to connect with his family as quickly as possible.

“Certis is committed to providing our full support to one of ours and to be able to offer our condolences to his family during this difficult time,” it said.
