Trump Claims Victory, Says Will Ask US Supreme Court To Prevent “A Major Fraud”

WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 (Bernama) — US President Donald Trump in an address at the White House declared he won re-election, adding that this year’s election is a fraud, reported Sputnik news agency.

“This is a fraud on the American public, this is an embarrassment to our country,” Trump said early Wednesday morning. “We were getting ready to win this election, frankly, we did win this election.”

Earlier, Trump said that he will ask the Supreme Court to ensure the integrity of the election and prevent any ballots from coming after polling stations are closed.

He accused his opponents of plotting “a major fraud on our nation.”

“We will be going to US Supreme Court. We want all voting to stop. We don’t want them to find any ballots at 4 o’clock in the morning and add them to the list,” Trump said during his first public appearance after the election, early Wednesday morning.

In the address, Trump claimed he is winning the US Presidential election race and thanked his supporters.

“We were winning everything, and all of a sudden, it was just called off. The results tonight have been phenomenal,” Trump said.

He added, “I want to thank the American people for their tremendous support: millions and millions of people voted for us tonight, and a very sad group of people is trying to disenfranchise that group of people.”

Trump, during the address, also said that he is winning the presidential election in the battleground state of Pennsylvania by a huge amount of votes, in addition to three others that have yet to be called.

“Most importantly, we are winning Pennsylvania by a tremendous amount of votes,” Trump said.

Trump added that he is winning in the swing states of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Georgia, and the battleground of Texas and North Carolina, and is still in play in Arizona, which some have already called in favour of Democratic challenger Joe Biden.

Trump is ahead by about 14 points in Pennsylvania with 64 per cent of votes counted, up eight per cent in Michigan with over 70 per cent reporting, and ahead in Wisconsin by four per cent with 91 per cent of votes counted, according to official results posted by Fox News.
