Youtube Review: Nike Introduces New Innovation of Nike GO FlyEase, A Completely Hands-Free Sneaker

On the 1st of February 2021, Nike has debuted its new innovative design that is the Nike GO FlyEase that is a completely hands-free sneaker.

This newest shoe by Nike is an “easy on, easy off” sneaker for those who can’t put their shoes on without assistance and also to wear shoe hassle-free.

This Go Flyease sneaker is Nike’s first pair of lace-less sneakers that can easily be put on and taken off without using your hands.

They were created with a “bi-stable hinge that enables the shoe to be secure in fully open and fully closed states” and a tensioner that mimics the motion of kicking off a shoe to make getting in and out of the GO FlyEase easy for everyone in this whole wide world.

This Nike Go FlyEase is to release at Nike.com on the 15th of February 2021. Broader availability is planned for later this year. The Go Flyease has unique features, including a tension band that secures the shoe in place of laces.

Putting them on involves just stepping into the shoe so that it will snap into place. Taking them off is done by stepping on the heel.

Launching the new shoes on its website first fits into Nike’s strategy of selling directly to consumers rather than through third-party retailers.

The original prototype was designed for a Nike employee who had had a stroke, but the entire launch is a win for accessibility in design. Twitter users were psyched about the new design and took to the platform to share their thoughts.

“Disability design for the win!” In 2012, Matthew Walzer, a teen with cerebral palsy, wrote to Nike asking for athletic shoes for disabled people. Nike invited him to collaborate in the design of the original adaptive Nike FlyEase shoe.

The original design can be seen on a busted up Roshe shoes that has kind of surgical tape around it. The design was so simple yet so smart for everyone.

The GO FlyEase sneakers check all the boxes. They’re stylish, they’re comfortable, and they’re made for everyone. Per promotional images, the first launch will include three different colorways.
