Prudential Takaful Launches Insurance Protection Plan For Women

KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 — Prudential BSN Takaful Bhd (PruBSN) has launched PruBSN Anggun, an insurance protection plan created specifically for women.

The insurance plan starts from as low as RM50 per month, offering protection for women-specific illness, comprehensive mental care, female health and wellbeing as well as cash rewards to celebrate women’s life achievements and milestones.

Chief executive officer Wan Saifulrizal Wan Ismail said the plan recognises women’s need for more comprehensive protection.

“The Shariah-compliant plan has an exclusive focus on women’s protection needs, helping them to get the most out of life.

“The plan also protects women and supports them throughout major life milestones, whether embarking on their first career or when they are ready to settle down and start a family,” he said during the virtual launch of the protection plan earlier today.

He added that the plan is the first in the market to offer a “mom care” rider that covers fertility treatment.

“The mom care rider is specially designed to protect all mothers-to-be against pregnancy complications and their child on congenital illnesses,” he said, adding that the plan also comes with fertility care benefit which provides assistance for women who wish to become mothers.

Under the life stage benefit feature, the plan supports and celebrates women’s milestone events such as purchasing a property, performing their Hajj pilgrimage or umrah, getting a Master’s or PhD degree, childbirth or child adoption, retirement, and even the death of a spouse, according to Saifulrizal.

The protection plan also provides mental care benefit reimbursement of up to 10 per cent of the basic sum covered and covers major depressive disorders, postpartum depression and general anxiety disorders, among others.
