Tinea versicolor is actually a superficial fungal infection of the skin. It is caused by the overgrowth of yeast that is normally present on our own skin. There are a lot of things that you should know about tinea versicolor. There are symptoms that you can notice when it started to spread on your skin and also there are certain medications that you can use to avoid having it.   • White spots or pink spots.
  • The dusty or shiny surface on the skin.
  • Round or oval shape joined.
  • Itching on the area.

Factors of Tinea Versicolor:

  • Hot or humid weather.
  • Excessive sweating.
  • Oily skin.
  • Weak immune.

Treatments for Tinea Versicolor:

  • Applying selenium or propylene glycol medication on the skin.
  • An anti-fungal drug application (econazole, etc.).
  • Oral medication for itching.
  • Oral medication for anti-fungal.

Ways to avoid getting Tinea Versicolor:

  • Keep the skin clean.
  • Eat nutritious food.
  • Exercise regularly, so that the immune system is always in good condition.
