(Video) Caught On Camera, A Missile Hits Airport In Ivano-Frankivsk

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine entered a new phase when Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a military operation against Ukraine today.

As a result, explosions were reported to have occurred in several major cities including at Ukrainian airports.

Through a video uploaded by BNO News on Twitter, moments when the missile hit the airport in Ivano-Frankivsk were recorded by the public.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that Ukrainian airspace was closed to all civilian aircraft.

It is understood that in early Thursday morning local time, three Ukrainian airports issued official notices to their respective pilots that were closed for the night and will reopen late Thursday morning.

The closure notice was said to be unusual and sparked speculation that it was linked to rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

One of the largest airports in Ukraine, Kharkiv International Airport, closed the runway until 8.35 am local time.
