Malaysian TV Personality Zarina Anjoulie, Removes Her Tattoos

Do removing tattoos hurt? Zarina Anjoulie, better known as Anju, is one of Malaysia’s most renowned TV personalities for her bold attitude. Not only that, but she’s also confident sharing some parts of her life with the world on her social media accounts.

Recently, Anju shares a video of her getting her tattoos removed in her newest Instagram post.

She’s not afraid of criticism

Anju shared her tattoo removal video on Instagram to help other people who also wanted to do the same thing.

To answer all the questions she received in her DMs, Anju musters the courage to post a second video of her tattoo removal, a follow-up of her first video.

A responsibility she’s willing to shoulder

As a Muslim, Anju is aware that some people are shy to admit that they want to do this procedure. Additionally, Anju acclaims that they’re afraid of judgements because of getting a tattoo in the first place.

However, Anju believes it’s the right thing to do so that other people with tattoos can remove theirs. In Islam, getting a tattoo is prohibited because it changes the creation of God. (Disclaimer: this applies only to Muslims in the context of Anju’s video. It doesn’t apply to other religions.)

“It isn’t too painful”

Anju says that a session costs around RM 500. Black ink is easier to remove than other colours.

In a session, the black ink fades away faster than other colours as they require more sessions to make the vibrant colour less visible.

Some people are scared to remove their tattoos because the procedure can be painful. Thankfully, Anju assures that the pain is tolerable and not as hurtful as people expected.
