Two Men In Hoodies Set A Boy In Fire As “Magic Trick”

Daily Mail reports that a 12-year-old boy suffered “significant burns”. The incident was after two men in hoodies asked him if he wanted to see a magic trick. The two men then lit the boy’s shirt on fire with a cigarette lighter.

The victim, a child, was at a park with a friend. Then, two men, both wearing hoodies and one wearing a mask, approached them.

A passerby took the boy, who had burns across his torso, to the hospital.

One suspect is described as tall, wearing a black hoodie with the hood pulled up, and a black mask. He also wears black pants with pockets and black leather gloves.

Besides, the second suspect is a smaller man with a black hoodie with the hood pulled up. He wears black joggers and fingerless gloves.

Statement from the Detective Inspector

“This was a horrific assault on a young boy and he has suffered some really significant burn injuries which will need on-going hospital treatment.

“I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at around the time of the attack to come forward and speak to us.

“‘We will have extra patrols in the area over the coming days and I would urge anyone with information or concerns to speak to an officer.”, said Detective Inspector Kirsty Wyatt.
