Recently, Singapore Airlines has been named 2023 Air Transport World Airline of the Year. Congratulations! It was announced during the 49th Annual Air Transport World (ATW) Airline Industry Achievement Awards. ATW is a company that recognizes the excellence of a broad range of airline operations.

Cited from Aviation Week:
“Singapore Airlines responded rapidly and decisively to the global travel restrictions related to COVID-19 by raising S$22.4 billion ($17 billion) in fresh liquidity—the most by any airline during the pandemic.”
Not just that, the company did “multiple cost-cutting and innovative initiatives kept the company on a strong footing so it was ready to re-enter the market strongly when borders reopened.”
Other winners of the 49th Annual Air Transport World (ATW) Airline Industry Achievement Awards are American Airlines and Jet2.com. They won Eco-Airline of the Year and Airline Market Leader. Aside from that, Spirit Airlines has been crowned Value Airline of the Year. Meanwhile, Cathay Pacific Cargo won Cargo Airline of the Year.
