Ulang Tahun 80 Giant Business Partners Award 2024: Celebrating Partnership, Growth, and Future Success

GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, the proudly Malaysian-owned retailer, hosted the Ulang Tahun 80 Giant Business Partners Award 2024 event to celebrate 80 years of successful partnerships, growth, and resilience. The event, held at a distinguished venue, brought together key stakeholders, including bankers, business partners, and community leaders, to reflect on the company’s transformation and reaffirm its commitment to the future of Malaysian retail.

A Journey of Transformation and Growth

The night was a testament to the remarkable journey of GCH Retail Malaysia, which in 2023 successfully transitioned to 100% Malaysian ownership. This milestone marked a new chapter of deeper roots within the local market, reinforcing GCH Retail’s commitment to supporting local communities and contributing to the national economy.

Acknowledging the Support of Key Partners

CEO of GCH Retail Malaysia, Mr. Tiger Cheah, expressed deep gratitude to the company’s esteemed banking partners, including AFFIN Bank, Maybank, Alliance Bank, and AmBank. Their continued trust and support were crucial in helping the company navigate through transformation and achieve profitability in 2024. Mr. Cheah acknowledged that the collaboration with these partners had been instrumental in turning challenges into success and reaffirmed the company’s focus on continued growth and value creation.

Celebrating Success in 2024 and Vision for the Future

As GCH Retail Malaysia marks a return to profitability, the company is focused on expanding its retail presence across the nation. By December 2025, GCH Retail aims to reach 100 outlets, making modern retail accessible to more Malaysians. This expansion is not just about growth but also about creating opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), supporting initiatives such as the Rahmah Program and the “Buy Malaysia” campaign.

Looking ahead, GCH Retail remains committed to fostering partnerships that will positively impact local communities and set new standards for excellence in the Malaysian retail landscape.

A Partnership for a Brighter Future

Mr. Cheah concluded the evening by reaffirming GCH Retail’s dedication to delivering value, growth, and positive impact within the communities it serves. He expressed optimism for the future, highlighting the continued collaboration with bankers, business partners, and the GCH Retail team in building a brighter and more inclusive future for all Malaysians.
