The Malaysia Midnight Sale Carnival roared back to life over the long weekend, drawing record-breaking crowds to Mahkota Parade and delivering a major boost to Melaka’s tourism and economy.
Held in conjunction with Melaka Bila Larut Malam – May Edition 2025, the event transformed the city into a buzzing hub of shopping, culture, and entertainment from morning till midnight, captivating both locals and tourists from Singapore and Indonesia.
Running from 10:00 AM to 12:00 midnight, the carnival brought foot traffic surging into hotels, retail outlets, and eateries, with local businesses, ride-hailing drivers, artisans, performers, and F&B vendors all reaping the benefits. The success reaffirmed Melaka’s growing status as a regional retail and cultural hotspot.
A major highlight was the “Special Sale Moment” on May 3 from 10:00 PM to midnight, where shoppers who spent RM250 and above stood a chance to win prizes worth over RM20,000. With shopping bags in hand and energy levels high, the crowd turned the mall into a late-night retail fiesta.
The event also delivered a spectacle of fun and family-friendly activities, including a celebrity appearance by Datuk Awie and Yasser Atak, raffles and giveaways, balloon drops, face painting, flash mobs, traditional Melaka performances, colouring contests, henna art, caricatures, and even giant games like Congkak and Connect 4.
This vibrant event was made possible by Tourism Malaysia, Tourism Melaka, Mahkota Parade, Parkson, Grand Swiss-Belhotel Melaka, and Ojas Electronic, with event organiser Jalakx Sdn. Bhd extending gratitude to all sponsors and supporters for making it a phenomenal success.
With its record turnout and economic impact, the Malaysia Midnight Sale Carnival is already gearing up for an even bigger return in 2026, promising a next-level shopping and cultural extravaganza.
