Maxim Rolls Out Partner-Driver Legalization Program to Elevate Compliance and Road Safety

Maxim, one of Malaysia’s leading e-hailing platforms, has officially introduced a Partner-Driver Legalization Program designed to ensure that every driver on its platform operates legally, safely, and with full compliance to national regulations.

The program aims to strengthen road safety, align with local transportation laws, and enhance the quality of service for passengers.

“This program is not just about fulfilling legal requirements, it’s about building a stronger, more responsible e-hailing community. We want every partner-driver on our platform to feel confident, informed, and fully compliant,” said Mohd Hazwan, Director of Maxim E-hailing Malaysia.

Key Features of the Legalization Program

Streamlined Registration Process
Partner-drivers must upload valid documentation, including:

  • PSV license
  • Insurance certificate
  • PUSPAKOM inspection report
  • MyKad
  • Photos of the vehicle and driver

Enhanced Verification & Compliance
All documents are manually reviewed by trained compliance officers to ensure authenticity and eligibility before granting access to the platform.

Education & Support Resources
Maxim provides digital guides, educational videos, and real-time notifications to assist partner-drivers with PSV and EVP license applications.

Collaboration with Driving Schools
To make the process easier, Maxim has partnered with over 25 driving schools nationwide. Partner-drivers can benefit from license expense reimbursements via bonus credits once they complete the process.

“Maxim’s new registration process is a big improvement. It’s clearer, faster, and I like it that they guide you step by step, especially with the PSV and EVP licenses. The real-time alerts helped me fix my issue quickly. And, the bonus that compensated the license fees was a nice surprise. It really feels like they care about helping partner-drivers stay legal and safe on the road,” shared Ahmad Azmee, a Maxim partner-driver from Sungai Petani.

Maxim is also rolling out an extensive outreach campaign through app notifications, SMS, phone support, and in-person sessions to help partner-drivers stay updated on compliance requirements.
