Malaysia’s favourite theme park is turning up the thrill dial with the launch of its latest showstopper, The Wild Chase Water Coaster. This groundbreaking attraction fuses the speed and intensity of a roller coaster with the refreshing fun of a water slide.
Located in the heart of Sunway Lost Lagoon, this RM30 million investment is the first of its kind in Malaysia, redefining what it means to be a family-friendly thrill ride. Spanning over 280 metres of high-banked curves, surprise drops and water sprays, the coaster races through a lush, tropical backdrop, promising an adrenaline-pumping adventure for all ages.
Now open daily from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. (closed Tuesdays, except during Malaysian school and public holidays), the Wild Chase is part of Sunway Lagoon’s mission to continuously innovate and elevate guest experiences.
The launch event was officiated with flair by YB Dato’ Ng Suee Lim, Executive Councillor for Local Government, Tourism and New Village Development; Ms. Chua Yee Ling, CEO of Tourism Selangor; and Mr. Mohd Nizam bin Teh Kamaruddin from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health. The event was a lively celebration with marching bands, cheerleaders, and a spectacular countdown that sent the ride into motion — marking a thrilling new era for Sunway Lagoon.
“The Wild Chase is a thrilling representation of our dedication to delivering unforgettable memories. It’s fast, it’s fun, and it’s built with family in mind,” said Calvin Ho, Executive Director of Sunway Theme Parks.
Safety remained a key theme of the day. YB Dato’ Ng praised Sunway Lagoon’s proactive collaboration with regulatory bodies, ensuring that the ride not only thrills but also adheres to the highest safety standards, setting a national benchmark for theme park attractions.
But that’s not all. Guests can now enjoy over 13 hours of non-stop fun with the Day + Night Park ticket. From splashy daytime thrills to after-dark excitement starting at 2:00 P.M., Sunway Lagoon offers 7 unique experiences, all in one ticket.
