Maxim E-hailing Here is to Serve: More Than 600 People Receive Ramadan Assistance Across Six States

Maxim E-hailing Malaysia today successfully concluded its nationwide Ramadan corporate social responsibility (CSR) tour. This comprehensive initiative provided essential food supplies, transportation assistance and duit raya contributions to more than 600 students, orphans and communities across six states throughout the holy month.

The company’s month-long CSR campaign, which ran from the beginning of Ramadan until the final week, saw Maxim teams visit welfare homes and tahfiz institutions in Sabah, Sarawak, Negeri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur, Terengganu and Kelantan. The initiative was designed to embody the values of Ramadan by delivering tangible support to communities in need while strengthening the company’s connection with grassroots organisations nationwide.

In the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the Maxim team visited Rumah Titian Kaseh, where 70 residents comprising children, senior citizens and single mothers received essential food supplies and RM300 in transportation aid. A similar scene unfolded in Seremban, where the company provided the same support to approximately 230 students and staff at Maahad Tahfiz Al Quran Al Falah, helping ensure the institution could focus on its educational and spiritual activities.

On the East Coast, the tour fostered a strong sense of togetherness. In Kuala Terengganu, 170 students, including seven with disabilities, as well as 13 teachers at Ma’ahad Tahfiz Wal Tarbiyyah Darul Iman were supported with essential items and daily necessities. In Kota Bharu, Maxim shared an iftar session with 35 students and teachers from Maahad Tahfiz Al Quran Darul Quwwah, alongside transport assistance that helped ease the institution’s logistical challenges.

“This is the first time an e-hailing company has come to our place and provided free rides for us. We truly appreciate this initiative and hope this wonderful programme can continue again next year,” said Ustaz Muhammad Zulhilmi, a teacher at Maahad Tahfiz Al Quran Darul Quwwah in Kelantan.

Moving to Sabah, Maxim expanded its outreach in Kota Kinabalu, Tawau and Lahad Datu. The company commenced its charitable programmes in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Cawangan Sabah at Masjid Al-A’laa in Kampung Lokub, where a convoy comprising Maxim representatives, drivers and university students gathered to distribute iftar meals to the local community.

Professor Madya Dr Rozita Mohamed, Rector of UiTM Sabah, said, “We appreciate the collaboration with Maxim, which reflects a shared effort to contribute meaningfully to the community.”

The initiative continued across multiple locations in Sabah, including Madrasah Darul Hadis DarSa Sabah and Rumah Anak Yatim Ar-Raudhoh in Tawau, reaching over 120 beneficiaries. As part of the company’s ongoing Ramadan campaign, Maxim also contributed essential food items to food baskets for 50 orphaned students at Sekolah Kebangsaan St Dominic Lahad Datu, Sabah.

Meanwhile in Sarawak, driver-partners played an active role in bringing the initiative to life. In Kuching, the team carried out repair and improvement works at Baiturrahmah Welfare Home, including repainting, fixing leaking pipes and repairing electrical fittings. Similarly, in Bintulu, seven drivers joined Maxim staff in a convoy to Institut Tahfiz Bintulu, delivering groceries alongside RM300 in transport support. The initiative continued in Miri, where five drivers accompanied Maxim staff on a visit to Maahad Tahfiz An Naim in Lutong, reaching students through contributions and duit raya.

“I would like to thank Maxim for taking the time to visit our welfare home today. We truly feel proud and grateful that there are organisations that care about us,” said Mr Abdul Rahman, caretaker of Baiturrahmah Welfare Home in Kuching.
