RIMOWA Just Turned Its Iconic Suitcase Into an Artist’s Dream Kit

RIMOWA is taking creativity on the road.

The German luxury Maison has teamed up with fellow German brand Faber-Castell to create the RIMOWA x Faber-Castell Artist Case, a limited-edition aluminium case designed for artists, illustrators and anyone who takes their creativity very seriously.

And yes, it looks exactly as fancy as you’d expect from RIMOWA.
Crafted at RIMOWA’s historic factory in Cologne, the silver case features the brand’s signature anodised aluminium construction and leather handle, inspired by its iconic Classic collection.

But instead of packing clothes or travel essentials, open it up and you’ll find an entire creative toolkit.

The case comes with 120 Faber-Castell Polychromos colour pencils, known for their rich pigments and oil-based cores, alongside co-branded 2B graphite pencils, an eraser and a platinum-plated RIMOWA sharpener.

There’s also a custom two-level tray system that neatly organises the tools while turning the case into a rather beautiful display piece when opened.

The collaboration brings together two brands with deep roots in German craftsmanship. Faber-Castell, founded in 1761, is celebrating its 265th anniversary this year and has been making writing and drawing instruments for generations.

Meanwhile, RIMOWA has spent more than a century creating luggage that has travelled with people around the world.

Now, the two brands are giving creatives a way to bring their tools along for the journey too.

And because it’s RIMOWA, the case is designed to develop its own patina over time, meaning every scratch and mark can eventually become part of its owner’s creative story.

The RIMOWA x Faber-Castell Artist Case in Silver is priced at €2,400 and launches on September 17, 2026.

It will be available through RIMOWA stores worldwide and RIMOWA.com, with selected Faber-Castell availability in Europe.

Basically, it’s a suitcase for people whose idea of packing light is bringing only 120 colour pencils.
