Each time we encounter a problem, no matter how big or small, stress and pressure will come along too. It would be a lie if you say you have never felt stressed before. Feeling pressured or stressed is normal. Nevertheless, we cannot let those feelings consume us. It is not healthy.

How can you detect if someone is stressed and pressured? The most common things we can see are from the way they are breathing. There will breathe rapidly. Aside from that, we can see on their face that they are dizzy.

What are other signs of stress and pressure?

  • Muscles will become tense
  • Your body feels weak
  • Your body becomes numb
  • Sweating
  • Feels like vomiting
  • Having diarrhea
  • Anxious without knowing the reasons why
  • Lose appetite
  • Hard to fall asleep
  • Easily gets annoyed and gets angry
  • Wants to be alone

So, how to avoid all of these unwanted feelings?

Here are some tips to avoid stress and pressure from a doctor’s perspective, @DrSamhan:

1) Find information from a reliable source

  • Sometimes, feelings of pressure and stress come from us, reading things that are not true.
  • Reading false information might get us scared and anxious.
  • Thus, what you can do is find information from a reliable source.
  • Do not blindly fall into the trap of false information.

2) Focus on YOU

  • Fill your day with activities that can bring your mind to peace.
  • Spend quality time with your family.

3) Set a time limit when using your phone

  • Give your eyes some time to rest.
  • Nowadays, phones are very important in our lives as it is used for work, communication, and so on.
  • However, it is best to free yourself from your phone (2-3 hours a day).

4) Stay close to your family

  • Tell your family about your problems.
  • It is unhealthy to keep it all to yourself.

5) Try the breathing technique

  • Sit down in a comfortable position.
  • Close your eyes, take a breath (hold it for 4 seconds), then, let it out.
  • You can repeat this 5 to 10 times.
