INDIA: A 40-year-old Indian man died cause of his family members unplugged the device that keeps him alive. The hospital turned off the air conditioning and his family decided to bring their own air cooler.
The man was suspected to be suffering from Covid-19 and sent to the ICU in Maharao Bhim Singh (MBS) hospital in Rajasthan, India.
About two days later, the hospital moved him to an isolation ward as a safety precaution when they found out that there is another patient that is tested positive for COVID-19 in the same hospital.
The day that he moved, also the day when his family came to visit him. Surprisingly the air conditionings have been turned off so his family decided to bring their own air cooler since the temperature for that day reached about 41 degrees Celsius.
When they were trying to plug in the air cooler, they noticed there is no power outlet left. They unplugged the ventilator and saw that it was still working. They did not know that the ventilator was still working cause of the backup battery that finally runs out at the end and leave the man die.
