Colgate, Lazada And The Lost Food Project Collaborate To Send Smiles To Communities In Need During 11.11 Sale

Colgate-Palmolive (Colgate), the world’s leading oral care brand continued to demonstrate their commitment to advance oral health and bring healthy smiles to the underprivileged by collaborating with Lazada, the leading eCommerce platform, and The Lost Food Project during Lazada’s 11.11 Biggest One Day Sale.

With the theme, ‘Send A Smile’, Colgate took the opportunity to rally Malaysians to help communities in need during Lazada’s 11.11 shopping festival by donating a #Colgatesendasmile bundle worth RM15. Comprising a Colgate toothbrush and toothpaste, these bundles purchased by generous Malaysians were donated to The Lost Food Project, an organization which serves as a food bank and helps over 50 charities, including B40 families in Malaysia.

“At Colgate, we believe that everyone deserves a future they can smile about, despite the circumstances. We are delighted that Malaysians chose to spread optimism and played their part in making the world a better place by donating #Colgatesendasmile bundles during the recent Lazada 11.11 Biggest One Day Sale. Together with our partners, Lazada and The Lost Food Project, we would like to thank everyone who put optimism into action and donated a smile. These oral care packages will certainly help to enhance the wellbeing of the underprivileged, especially in today’s trying times,” said Amanda Klemm, Marketing Director, Colgate-Palmolive, South Asian Hub.

Malaysians who purchased these charity bundles received a thank you card from Colgate. Further to the #Colgatesendasmile donation, Colgate also encouraged Malaysians who participated in this initiative to top up their purchase to RM55 and receive a free tote bag. This bag featured the words, ‘Leave no smile behind’, reminding us that we should all play a part in bringing smiles to fellow Malaysians.

“We are grateful to have partnered with Colgate-Palmolive in a joint effort to support and bring much-needed aid to the underprivileged community via The Lost Food Project. With 1 in 3 Malaysians shopping on Lazada, we are proud that our platform was able to extend the reach of the #Colgatesendasmile campaign by bringing Malaysians together to send cheerful smiles to those in need,” said Leo Chow, CEO of Lazada Malaysia.

“The Lost Food Project is dedicated to contributing towards a sustainable future by redistributing food as well as other essential items to people who need it most. The importance of good oral care cannot be overlooked in our underprivileged communities, and we are very glad to play our part in helping to distribute these #Colgatesendasmile bundles through the Lazada 11.11 sales. We hope that this initiative will raise awareness amongst Malaysians on the plight of our underprivileged communities and inspire them to extend a helping hand where possible,” added Suzanne Mooney, Founder of The Lost Food Project.

Recycle to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint and Get Rewarded

Apart from raising oral healthcare standards, Colgate is also committed to creating a brighter future for our planet. On this note, the company will be partnering Lazada to encourage Malaysians to go green and recycle paper, plastics, and cardboard. With approximately 30,000 tonnes of waste produced in Malaysia every day, and with only 5% of this waste being recycled and re-purposed, this initiative aims to encourage Malaysians to reduce their carbon footprint and create a brighter future for our planet. Participants of this cause will receive exclusive Lazada offers.
