Recently, Spotify revealed a news about a new beta feature called DJ! Almost everyone has a Spotify account. It allows you to listen to songs. Not just songs, you can enjoy podcasts too! Aside from that, you can also create playlists with the application.
DJ is a feature that allows fans to listen to their personal radio station. Interestingly, it comes with an AI host. You will have a DJ in your pocket!
According to Spotify, your DJ knows not just you, but also your music taste. Thus, it will scan the recent releases according to your taste. Aside from that, the feature will also take you back to the past for the taste of ‘nostalgia.’
Your DJ will present you with curated music lineups, with an AI-generated commentary for each song. For now, the voice of the AI is Xavier “X” Jernigan who used to be one of the hosts of Spotify’s The GetUp. Spotify adds that X is the first model for the feature and it will work more to iterate and renovate the product.

However, Spotify’s DJ is now only available in the United States and Canada for Premium users.
