Project 100 Malaysia Hosts 5th Global Changemakers Awards, Honoring Deputy Minister

The 5th Global Changemakers Awards was a night filled with inspiration, unity, and leadership. Mr. Dinesh Magandiran, Private Secretary to the Deputy Minister of National Unity, represented YB Senator Puan Saraswathy Kandasamy, reaffirming the government’s commitment to promoting harmony and positive change.

In his speech, Mr. Dinesh stressed that true leadership goes beyond titles; it is about making an impact. “Real leaders create spaces where people from different backgrounds unite, collaborate, and drive change,” he said. Malaysia, with its diverse mix of cultures, religions, and ethnicities, stands as a testament to the strength of unity in diversity. By working together, everyone can help build a future that’s fair, equal, and prosperous.

More Than an Awards Ceremony

The event brought together leaders, changemakers, and policymakers from across the globe. Dr. Tazyeen Zahra Abidi, President of Project 100 Malaysia, described the gathering as a platform for action, not just recognition.

“This gathering sparks fresh ideas, builds strong partnerships, and encourages collective action toward a more peaceful and just world,” she said.

Celebrating Courage, Creativity & Compassion

The Global Changemakers Awards honors individuals who carry forward the legacies of Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Martin Luther King Jr. Over the years, the awards have highlighted achievements in sustainability, education, health, and social justice. Many past winners expanded their projects, making lasting differences in their communities.

“Their success proves no challenge is too big when met with determination and heart,” Dr. Tazyeen added.

A Call to Act, Not Just Watch

The main takeaway? Change happens when people work together. Real progress comes through teamwork, global cooperation, and continuous effort.

“We hope everyone leaves inspired, ready to take action even small steps can lead to big changes,” Dr. Tazyeen said.

With strong support from the government and a growing network of changemakers, the 5th Global Changemakers Awards served as a powerful reminder that creating real change starts with each of us.
