Skechers did it again, turning Sunday morning (7 Sept) into a celebration of friendship, fitness, and pure good vibes. The 8th edition of the Skechers Friendship Walk lit up The Oval Lawn, Setia City Convention Centre, with a record-breaking 8,000 participants ready to walk, run, and connect.
From a chilled 5km Walk to the sweat-dripping 10km Run, the atmosphere was buzzing with energy as families, friends, and fitness junkies showed up in style.
But this walk wasn’t just about breaking a sweat. Skechers also gave back, donating RM10,000 to the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) making every step on the track count for something bigger.
Hosting the crowd were familiar faces, Shaun Stephen (back for the third year) and newbie co-host Zooey Teo from MixFM. Celebs and athletes like Jaclyn Victor, Chan Peng Soon, and Indra Putra joined in too, rocking the official Friendship Walk tees with the latest Skechers kicks, including the GOwalk 8™ and SKX® AERO.
And it wasn’t all about the walk/run. The day packed in:
- High-energy zumba sessions
- A lively brass band
- Games and lucky draws (with plenty of prizes!)
- A cool finisher’s wall for photos
- Booths to try out Skechers’ newest collections
Of course, the big winners of the 10km categories stole the spotlight, with cash prizes up to RM1,000, Skechers vouchers, and prize bundles that included a pair of AERO running shoes.
But the loudest cheer of the day? The grand lucky draw winner who scored a one-year FREE supply of Skechers footwear worth RM6,000. Talk about stepping into 2026 in style.
